When/how do I receive my benefits cards?

Your GSC ID benefits cards will be included in your Welcome Kit. Generally speaking, you’ll receive it within seven business days. It will be delivered by Canada Post in a large GSC envelope.

Your contract will be included in your Welcome Kit. Generally speaking, you’ll receive it within seven business days. It will be delivered by Canada Post in a large GSC envelope.

What does my Welcome Kit include?

Your Welcome Kit includes your GSC ID benefits cards, contract, schedule of benefits, a claims form and some general info we know will be helpful – like how to make a claim online and sign up for direct deposit so you don’t have to wait for claims cheques to arrive in the mail.

When are payments due?

Your first payment for one month’s premium will be taken when your application is approved.

The next payment (for one month’s premium) will be taken on or about your coverage effective date (depending on the day of the week the first of the month falls). This ensures your payments (and benefits!) are secure a month in advance.

Subsequent payments are taken on or around the first of every month.

What if I need treatment before I receive my Welcome Kit?

If you need treatment after your effective date and before your Welcome Kit arrives in the mail, we’d suggest that you pay for the service and ensure you get a receipt that outlines the details and expenses. When you receive your Welcome Kit, it will include a claim form. You can complete and send it to GSC, along with the receipts. You’ll be reimbursed for the expenses eligible under your plan. If you want to get reimbursed faster, we encourage you to sign up for our secure self-serve website where you can submit claims and sign up for direct deposit.

What can I do online?

With GSC plans, you can do a lot online. Once you receive your Welcome Kit, register for GSC Online Services and you can submit claims online, sign-up for direct deposit (no more waiting for cheques to arrive in the mail), check your coverage eligibility, find providers who submit electronically to GSC (so you don’t have to), and much more…
